About Peter Anderson
Having never exhibited or sold a painting (or even belonged to an amateur art group), Peter Anderson was only prompted to pick up a paintbrush in 2020 when Covid-19 lockdowns provided him with unexpected leisure time. The results were the first artworks he had produced since school more than 35 years earlier, when he had achieved a dismal 'E' grade in his art A-level.

Peter's paintings in 2020 were restricted initially to watercolours and acrylics, although he later took the plunge and began painting (very occasionally) in oils. The works have been influenced by places he has visited or people he has encountered, in locations including Norway, China, Peru, Cuba, New Zealand, Vietnam, Namibia, Argentina and the UK.

Several years on from 2020, and with the pandemic now part of everyday life, new additions to this website have become increasingly rare. However, hopefully the paintings offer an opportunity for Peter to show any interested family or friends just what he has been up to.
